My thread has seemed to have been eaten by the hosting software.
I went to hang out with a friend who was shooting clearcoat and metal flake on a roof of a car. We got a little goofy and this is what we did until midnight last night.
Sorry these shots aren't the best. My camera wasn't liking the lighting.

Got the car untaped, reassembled and out into the sun today. Wow. It came out much better than I had hoped. It's still a 20 footer, but very cool. A big thanks to McGann for staying 6 hours longer at the shop than he had planned. He is the coolest dude around this week.

I figured out that the carb I have is a 850 DP. It's in excellent shape, but not really pretty. Rebuilt it today.
I got these freebies today as well. Never opened.
The only issue with the carb was the needle and seat snapped in two when I tried to remove it. The broken part was not in the threads so I just punched it out.
Here it is all back together and in box stock configuration. I'll test it on the Impy tomorrow.

Is an 850 going to be too much carb for that engine? _________________ 2002 Lightning

I got the 850 dp on the Impala today. It runs and drives ok, right up until the second power valve opens, then booooogggggg!! It's going up for sale soon.
The video proof it runs.

Maybe you should keep the carb and get a bigger engine? _________________ 2002 Lightning

Doesn't that fall into the category of redecorating the kitchen to match the new roll of paper towels? _________________

John McGann shot these. This is about as close I'll ever get to a magazine shoot.
I like how the light shines off the body line.
Photo evidence of me pounding on it. Funny how nearly no smoke comes from the T/A's. Damn, I need a line lock bad.
