I saved this from suretain doom!!!! It was in the junkyard and I was able to save it. This similier to the car that got me into this hobby. Can't wait to get started on it. It has a 318 in it, with a 904 auto trans bucket seats and console, and a 8 3\4 posi rear end. And it is a Super Coupe.
I got a new set of Cal Track leaf spring for it and hope to have them on this next week or week end

Oh yes....it IS an Aspen Super Coupe. The numbers back it up, not to mention the paint(under the primer)...
He's got some more up-to-date pics, these are from back in the summer when he first got it. He picked up a wrecked donor Aspen(from a guy I know) to raid the rear spring mounts from......plus peddled the 340 and 904 from it. I personally think heshould have kept that 340, buthtat's just me.....1971 engine.
He has a set of Cragars to replace the stock Magnum 5-spokers(already has the fronts on the car...wouldn't believe the difference it makes).....looks like we may finish stripping out the parts car and get ready to get the rearend back up under the SC. He has a set of CalTracs springs for it...not certain if he has the CalTracs bars for it yet or not.
The 318 stays for now, or that's what he's saying for the moment...there's another 360 ready for a rebuild. Think he has plans for gaskets/new manifold/Holley/cam/ignition/headers in the meantime.
If that buld goes anything like te one he built for his old '73 Challenger.....boy, you gonna need some subframe connectors is all I can say...LMAO. |

| It is a SuperCoupe but someone took the 360 and 727 trans out of it and stuck a 318 904 trans into it. The VIN and option tag on the fender all say it is. I will update these picture later this week(gotta find where I put them) |

Would of loved to stuck that motor in it but we sold it for a good chunk of change. I have been working on everyones elses cars and carbs lately so I have not done to much to her yet, other than get together alot of parts. I am planning on biulding a 408 small block and put a 727 transs back into it. but for this summer I am planning on putting a set of J heads and a air gap style intake with a 100 or so shot of juice just to have some fun while I am putting the other motor together.
Bowtie, I will post that tommorrow, I have all that at the shop along with the decals. |

They ain't bad...when this boy gets ahold of them.
He's bound and determined to outdo his '73 Challenger and the true automotive love of his life, his old Volare' Sport coupe....that thing did burnouts that BlackOutSteve from another site would be jealous of.
I've seen but a few Super Coupes in my life...the fact that the body is in as good of shape as it is makes it that much better. |

Quite a few people have found the corner to be to asinine to continue to hang out here. Most of us are trying to be car guys - not wet nurses.
Perhaps if there was some actual good quality car tech going on here some of them would visit more often. _________________ G. Allen Pearson
