Not now it wouldn't. we're on this road and there is no turning back - you and I agree on that.
But looking back, this started WAAAAAY before 9/11 2001. Our foreign policy has been bad, no matter whose been in charge. We're the bullies on the block, and the scrawny kids will take potshots at us every chance they get.
But you're right, pulling out now wouldn't do anything. Gotta finish the job we started even though we've been complete idiots about it. |

you seem to forget..
that we the taxpayers, offer up billions and billions in aid,
to all these little "scrawny kids" (your words)
for years and years and years..
yes we might push, but .you do that when your helping others. when their own government will not..
funny, all these places never, EVER turn away the good people of the U.S.of A's billions in aid, be it health care/food/anything
but all hate us..
Why you, think that is????????
might it be the tyrants that control these countries government, lie'n to their people..
now, before you start.. we are not inocent, not by , no means,
but. we go out of OUR way to help others without asking for anything in return..
we could've easily took over the the oil fields , but in a act of good faith, we showed that countries people we where only there to free them from the nut case, running the government over those people..
sorry .,D/G we have the right to be a tad pushie(or in your words , the bullie)
when we are the sole country holding out it's hand for any one in the world that needs our help..

this whole post is BS unless you address the other negative things we've done to those people as well. If you ask a Middle Eastern person with basic historical and political knowledge about how the US is viewed from their point of view, they'll list ALL KINDS of things that are justifiable reasons for doing what they do. Yes, I said JUSTIFIABLE. No offense Mark, but I - and even moreso, YOU - lack the historical knowledge to even consider having a "why they hate us" discussion, so let's just not even try. |

1) we dont want them to starve so we give them food and money
2) we dont want them to be oppressed so we try to get them out from under
3) we try to keep them from living in caves and dirt houses pulling a chopped up VW with a donkey while the guys in power run amok
so what do we get for our trouble? the guys in power turning the people against US to keep their anger pointed at US and not the people keeping them oppressed
as long as we have people walking around talking about how bad our foreign policies are demonizing us trying to befriend and bend over and make these oppessive tyrants like us the wrong people will get elected and these guys will be pushing us around.
like it or not USA is on top and needs to stay on top. despite the efforts of those trying to level us with rest of teh world.

we help our friends. Israel doesnt bomb us. and if helping a country hurts our enemies im ok with that. if that country becomes our enemy in the future im ok with that too.
if they wanna NOT be our enemy that would be great but we shouldnt have to do as they say and accept a weaker postion to make that happen. thats what obammy and his his people are trying to do. roll over for these small countries that kill random people to get attention.
i suppose you are ok with it though, right?

Which means you are then OK with the Fort Hood incident. Because anyone with a brain understands Cause and Effect. Do you? Sounds like you are very unAmerican by your own definition since you support activities that cause things like Fort Hood. Way to be an American!

I'm an MIT degree'd engineer and I work at a place with a $9000 infrared temp gun and I design my own custom engines. |

funny thing is..
I'm working on my degree
and do work at the places I listed..
and you..
oh. and we do have the gun.(the place I work)
and do have the billet alum.. and it is an idea. we (me my boss and steve) want to try..
and we can get all the scrape alum we need to make whatever from metrowest steel/grant steel/ etc
as we surply them with equipment.
as I was say'n
