wow, completely forgot to update this...
after the wreck:

the bike has gotten ugly.

wish i had all the plastics, guy that hit me came back & gnabbed the top left fairings (i'm guessing because they had his paint on 'em). i'd have used duct tape to put the pieces back together, peeled it off, & used it as a template to make some aluminum patches. rivet it all together & ride it with pride.

instead, i've stuck the ram-air tube back on to hold a cheap-o headlight & have tucked all the wiring inside the frame.

it's temporary, i'm building a nose for it thats basically a velocity stack I can mount lights to.

i'm patching the tail fairing like mentioned, hanging the plate off to one side & hiding the blinkers where the muffler used to be. being almost 50lbs lighter than it started this thing is stupid fast. 400lbs & 100hp = 4lbs/hp thats like getting over 10hp & making it easier to throw around at the same time...for free.

it's loud now. not really too obnoxious when i'm cruising, the 4 banger drone is slightly bothersome, but around town part-throttle deceleration induces gnarley backlash. once i get it tuned it'll have a more muscular sound & pop flames. this is the same muffler i built before, but tweaked to perfection. (remember the 'funnel' used to hold the packing in? I pressed huge nuts through it to open it up & rounded the bell to create a high pressure point thats easy to push out...)

time to wrap the pipes.

still can't bring myself to cut any wires, but the display will sit here, raised 1/2". i've got to splice 22 wires to make this work...

insurance is still being worthless, but we're fighting 'em. if they fix my shit this is my paint scheme...
