I guess there's a few ways to look at it. One being, okay, so he came from abusive family. But after all like or not he's our Commander-in-Chief, so you got to give respect where respect is due, regardless of his political views, left or right. I served under the Clinton Administration and still have that same respect because we are the GREATEST Nation on Earth.

Yeah, but even on our worst day, we are still better than them.

I still don't see what there is to "disrespect" Barack Obama. As far as politicians go, he has a solid background, is a smart guy, and is trying to do what he wants the best he knows how. I don't see him actively trying to "bring down the white man" or anything similar to that. The only complaints anyone seems to have, are vague and subjective: "Attended Jeremiah Whomever's Church" is hardly a reason to hate anyone.

Nancy Pelosi? Different story. lol.

Bailouts, health care overhaul, no stance on Afghanistan, trying to crack down on freedom of the press. I don't what there is to like. Solid political background? He was a first term senator with no accomplishments to speak of.

because what obammy supporters fail to see is...

obammy believes X

people dont like X so Obammy puts a more friendly face on and uses smaller people that believe X to publicly distance himself from X so when people find out that X is going on Obammy can fire his smaller people and move them around so they can still do X for him and he isnt directly associated with or connected to X. it all fits together in a chain of what people believe and who they are associated with. look at the bigger picture. he IS what we are saying he is and hs people are saying and doing things that confirm it.

the best judge of character is to see who their friends are. all he hires and surrounds himself with are his friends and people that believe the same as he does. i have seen what these people believe from their own words and actions.

its all tiny brushstrokes in a huge ugly painting of what they want to do to our country and freedoms.

yeah but those are just your opinions that are different than his. Does that mean he has "bad intentions?" Worst case, it just means he's incorrect. Doesn't mean he didn't try his best. And besides, whose to say that your opinions are right and his are wrong? Sure, everone THINKS their way to fix something is the best way. but they're not always right.

Again, these are your opinions that you are trying to turn into something people will believe is "malicious intent" and it's a tactic - you're using a tactic to accuse him of being tactical.

And if the measure of a person is the quality of the friends they keep, then he beats Bush and McCain by many many miles. I could give two shits if he hangs out with people who talk loud - but it's the people that really fuck up this country that scare me. Shit, Bush was friends with Osama Bin Laden and his family. Cheney was pals with Saddam Hussein. Perhaps the real problem is that the "Obammy" haters like you, are physically and mentally unable to look at the situation with any kind of consistent/fair approach? From what I see, lots of guys on "your side" have that same problem - they like to tell people what to do, but they could never live by those same rules themselves. What's worse, hypocrisy? or failing at something with an honest attempt?

Believing you wouldn't matter a hill of beans. I'd simply sit back and see if you DID promote black rights, and judge you then. It seems stupid to judge someone based on their promises, no matter WHERE they hung out.

Again, all this applies greatly to Bush. He hung out with Bin Laden and his family... did business with them in his oil companies... where were all you guys 6 years ago?

What people say is useless and a waste of time. It's their actions that prove who they are.
