Took a Ford to beat me

Well Guys it's hard to admit but the little Car that could will spend it's days rotting in the back field. Cant keep the rockers adjusted and it overheats. Runs between 230 and 250. Poured a lifetime of knowlege and hundreds of $$$ in correcting these two problems and to no avail. Could go with what I know and put a GM drivetrain in it, got all the parts, but Fordguy would hunt me down and KILL me Sad

, anyway enough is a nuff, time to get back to the other two Cars, who by the way miss their Daddy,,,TLW.

gah... i hate to hear that man. i hate to hear about an old ford rotting away in somewhere. can you run a stock rocker? are your gaskets on right? < easy to get them backwards and block a cooling passage.

I was told you cant get stamped 1.7 rockers by the tech guy at Summit...Now as far as the head gaskets..It's very possible I messed em up. Never thought of that! Checking that theory out is another two hundred bucks! Just cant keeping dumping money into a failed project, time to cut my losses and move on. On another note..Seems Dutchess county airport will have another Drag event at the end of the month so I will be able to take on some of the big Guns with the 55, so there's where my efforts will be focused,,,TLW.

im pretty sure 460 rockers are the same as 351c. if you wanna do some poking around and find out they are the same or can use a set ill send you some when i get back.
